2012 Cleveland Classic

A one-off chance to reach the grand final.

On Thursday 16th August 2012 we will be holding an 18 hole Betterball Stableford competition at Cleveland Golf Club.

The pair returning the highest points score will qualify for our overseas grand final.

  • Handicap Allowance: 3/4 (max 14 shots)

  • Eligibility: To enter you must be aged 16+ on 2nd April 2012 & be a member of a golf club affiliated to the Cheshire, Cumbria, Durham, Lancashire, Northumberland or Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs

The course...

Cleveland Classic at Cleveland Golf ClubCleveland Golf Club was established in 1887 and is a true links course. The club have hosted many County and Professional events and is home to the Amateur scratch competitions; the Cleveland Salver and the Mid Amateur International. It also hosted the Yorkshire County Team Championships 2011. 

The championship links is situated by the shores of the North Sea and has a par of 72. The course is protected by strategically placed bunkers both on the fairways and around the greens. It is a true test of golf when the wind blows!

Notes...

1. Golfers do not need to have entered the main Golfdelaluz.com Northern Matchplay Golf Championship to compete in the Cleveland Classic. 

2. Maximum handicap is 18, however, golfers with higher handicaps (19-28) may enter but must reduce to 18 before any calculation (ie: max 14 shots).

3. Tied scores will be determined by countback.

4. If oversubscribed pairs who have entered the main matchplay event will have priority.
