History

The Golfdelaluz.com Northern Matchplay Golf Championship was founded in 2010.

The inaugural year was open to golfers in Yorkshire only. In 2011 it was expanded across the North of England to incorporate Cheshire, Cumbria, Durham, Lancashire and Northumberland.
